The bladeless fan or air multiplier is the latest invention from Sir James Dyson who is more well known for the bagless hoover and more recently the Airblade hand dryer. In fact the idea for the bladeless fan came to Dyson during the development of the Airblade hand dryer, which forces air through a tiny slit in order to effectively brush water from wet hands, and it also draws in air from its' immediate surroundings to increase the amount of air flow. Sir James Dyson is well known for improving products that have been the norm for some time and often the functionality has never been questioned, however, as with his past inventions the bladeless fan is sure to be a big hit and therefore become the norm in many households both in the UK and especially in the warmer climates of the USA, Australia and Asia.
